What happens when the 22 year old with autism has "aged out" of school? Where will he find community and meaningful work? This session will cover the following topics (with co-presenters including property developers, service provider):
Description of options (or lack of options) available to build a “meaningful life” for adults with classic autism after age 22
Elements needed to create a meaningful life for adults with autism
One approach to building an intentional community that:
Meets the needs of the residents
Provides for “aging in place”
Answers the need of regulators for an inclusive environment
Is financially self-sustaining under the current funding streams flowing to adults with classic autism

Cardinal is developing housing that could serve persons on the autism spectrum.
