This session provides an overview of The SCERTS MODEL, an evidence-based comprehensive framework for supporting the development of individuals with ASD and their families. SCERTS directly addresses the core developmental areas of Social Communication, Emotional Regulation, and Transactional Support and integrates knowledge and practice from a variety of disciplines.
This session provides an overview of The SCERTS MODEL, an evidence-based comprehensive framework for supporting the development of individuals with ASD and their families. Break times are as follows: 1:45 pm to 2:00 pm and 3:15 pm to 3:30 pm
Learning Objectives:
- Apply the SCERTS Model framework, Social Communication, Emotional Regulation and Transactional Support, for children and older individuals with ASD
- Identify and Develop intervention goals and strategies in Social Communication, Emotional Regulation and Transactional Support
- Integrate family-centered practices based on SCERTS in assessment and educational programming for children.
