Toxic Chemicals and the Developing Brain: Prevention Counts
Thursday, July 26, 2012: 10:45 AM-12:15 PM
Pacific Salon 6-7 (Town and Country Resort and Convention Center)
Toxic chemicals used in consumer products and manufacturing are virtually unregulated in the United States. The result is that the majority of pregnant women have hundreds of toxic chemicals found in their bodies. Scientific studies from the last three decades points to the role that toxic chemicals are playing in the rise of learning and developmental disabilities, cancer, infertility and early puberty. This session will focus on what we know about chemicals and autism and what we can do to ensure we're preventing and protecting our families from harmful chemicals.
