Panel Presentation On CDC Autism Activities

This panel includes 3 presenters describing autism activities at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The first presenter will discuss prevalence estimates from the Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring (ADDM) Network. The second will provide an update on the largest study in the U.S. to help identify factors that put children at risk for autism, the Study to Explore Early Development (SEED). The third presenter will discuss how CDC is helping states get children into services sooner.

Jon Baio is an Epidemiologist with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He currently serves as Team Lead for Developmental Disabilities Surveillance and Principal Investigator on the Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring Network, studying the prevalence of ASD and other developmental disabilities in several communities throughout the U.S.
