	This presentation will provide a description of the Prevent-Teach-Reinforce (PTR) model of positive behavior support.  PTR is designed to be a highly practical approach for use in schools in order to help children whose development  is compromised by patterns of behavior that interfere with the instructional and socialization process.  The presentation will include descriptions of the purpose and background of the model, as well as the model’s assessment, intervention, and evaluation strategies. 					Glen Dunlap is a research professor with the University of Nevada and the University of South Florida.  He has been involved with people affected by ASD for 40 years as a teacher, program director, and researcher and has helped establish publicly-funded systems of support in two states.
