One of the proposed changes in DSM-5 is to eliminate Asperger syndrome as a separate diagnosis and create one category, autism spectrum disorders. Under the proposed changes, ASD will be rated on a 5-point scale of designating severity. This expert panel will discuss their views on the proposed change, including assessment, the potential impact on services and expected effect on the autism community.
