The DARS Autism Program began in April 2007 as a pilot program to provide services to children in Texas, ages 3- 8, with an autism spectrum disorder. The program began with four contracted service providers and expanded to six providers after receiving additional funding during the 81st Texas Legislature. This presentation will discuss the evolution and administration of the program. In addition, two of the contracted service providers, Child Study Center and Easter Seals North Texas, will describe the implementation of their respective programs.
