For our "brighter" students with a lot of language and social learning challenges (e.g., those with AS, HFA, NLD), teaching social skills is not easy. By implementing evidence-based "social thinking vocabulary" to teach core social concepts and awareness, students are better able to select how to apply skills in different situations. "Superflex", our Social Thinking Superhero, will be explained as an advanced lesson for developing self-awareness and use of social thinking and related social skills.
