Dr. Partington is a licensed psychologist and a board certified behavior analyst (B.C.B.A.), and has over 35 years of experience working with children with autism and other developmental disabilities. His expertise is in the verbal behavior approach to language-based intervention. Dr. Partington is co-founder of STARS School, which specializes in language-based instruction for children with autism and has established similar classrooms in public schools. He has served on the faculty of several universities, and on the editorial review boards of multiple behavioral and educational journals. He has received several professional awards for his work. Dr. Partington has published papers on teaching strategies and is the author of The Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills-Revised (The ABLLSTM-R): An assessment, Curriculum Guide, and Skills Tracking System. He is internationally recognized for his work in teaching parents and professionals effective and practical methods for motivating and teaching skills to children.
