CDC Lead researchers discuss the 1 in 150 prevalence of autism in the United States study issued in February 2007.

Presenters:Catherine E. Rice, PhD, National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Developmental Disabilities Team -

Sydney Pettygrove, PhD, University of Arizona - Tucson, Epidemiologist - Dr. Pettygrove is on the faculty at the University of Arizona in Tucson. She is an epidemiologist and a Principal Investigator for the Arizona site of the Autism and Developmental Disability Monitoring (ADDM) Network.

Barbara Becker-Cottrill, Ed.D, West Virginia Autism Training Center, Executive Director, Autism Training Center - Barbara has been in the field of education and developmental disabilities for the past 26 years. She has served as the Executive Director of the statewide West Virginia Autism Training Center at Marshall University for the past 16 years and is also an adjunct graduate professor at Marshall University, teaching courses related to autism. She was recently appointed to ASA's Panel of Professional Advisors.
