Emily Colson
Emily Colson is the author of Dancing with Max, winner of the 2011 Autism Society Literary Work of the Year. Emily is an artist, writer, and speaker. She has spoken in some of the largest churches in the country encouraging the faith community to embrace those with autism and meet our growing needs. She has also pioneered an innovative visual communication system for her son. Emily’s most important role is mother to Max, who is 20 years old and has autism. Max is a wonderful tour guide of life. Emily, a single mother for most of Max’s life, shares hard-fought lessons in life, love, faith and joy.
