Two speakers present interrelated  experimental and clinical studies.  Dr. Calderon reports on the impact of air pollution and Dr. MacFabe reports on the impact of byproducts of infection and exposure to certain food preservatives.  Both environmental exposures can lead to brain inflammation and altered gene expression.  What does this information tell us about the brain’s vulnerability to environmental stress and injury?
