#3867- Sensory Processing 101 Implications of Sensory Challenges for Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders
This session will provide an introduction to sensory processing. Sensory processing challenges often experienced by individuals with ASD will be described and general interventions and supports will be identified. The concept of the sensory diet will be introduced with an emphasis on how to incorporate necessary interventions and supports within an educational environment, community, or workplace.

Presenter:Chris Filler, RN, BSN, Ocali, Transition Coordinator/Educational Consultant - Chris Filler is Transition Coordinator for the Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence and has worked with individuals and families with autism/developmental disabilities for 18 years. She has served as an EI Service Coordinator, Family Resource Specialist, and Autism Consultant/Trainer for many school districts throughout Ohio.
