Submitting a proposal is a step-by-step process. The form is composed of a left and right frame. The left frame is a Control Panel, the right frame is were you enter your information.

Once you initiate a submission, an ID and Password will automatically be emailed to you, they can also be found in the Control Panel. We advise that you DO NOT use your "Back" button in the Web Browser, rather use the Control Panel Links to return to any aspect of the submission, such as 'Setup Session' or 'Presenters'.

There are 5 steps to submitting a session proposal:

  1. Setup Session - the following is required
    • Title
    • Submitter's Email
    • Content Area (choose one)
    • Target Audience (choose one)
    • Understanding Level (choose one)
    • Learning Objectives (minimum two, maximum five)
    • Conference Program Description, subject to editing (80 words maximum).

  2. Presenters

    • If the people associated with your proposal have submitted with the Autism Society in the past, there is a good chance that we already have the name and contact information you would enter in our database. Type in the last name of the presenter and let us search for it. Select the right name and contact information if we find it for you, or fill it in yourself in the form provided. Then click the button at the bottom of the page. In addition to contact information, please provide a biographical sketch for each presenter.

  3. Content Plan Please include details on the content that will be provided, and sufficient information to determine how the session contributes to best practice and advances the field of autism spectrum disorders. Suggested word length is 500-2000 words.

    • If you do not have any special symbols, italics & bolded text, or superscripts, etc. then simply select "OPEN CONTENT PLAN FORM NOW". It is HIGHLY advised that you type this into a Word Processor first, and then COPY/PASTE into the box provided. Click the "Submit" button at the bottom when finished.

  4. Disclosure ASA’s breakout sessions are intended to be educational in nature and should not promote or advertise a commercial product or service. Submissions that appear to be entirely for the purpose of selling a product or service will not be accepted for presentation at the conference. Each presenter will be asked if they have relevant finacial disclosures related to the content of the proposal. Submitters may fill out this form for each presenter.

  5. Confirmation Please check that all the information is correct. If you need to make changes to any step, please use the links in the control panel, make the modifications, and RE-SUBMIT at the bottom of the page.
